Great Britain’s Alex Sherratt wins gold at the 2022 European Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Valetta, Malta.

Alex Sherratt won gold for Great Britain in the -41kg category at the European Cadet Taekwondo Championships in Malta on Saturday 26th November.

Alex’s victory follows his bronze medal achievement at the World Taekwondo Cadet Championships in Sofia, Bulgaria in July.

Competing at the European Cadet Taekwondo Championships held at the National Sport School in Valetta, Malta, Alex defeated athletes from Ukraine 2-0 in the Last 16, from Greece 2-1 in the Quarter Final, from Spain 2-0 in the Semi Final, and from Serbia 2-1 in the Final.

The Great Britain team competed at the European Cadet Championships in Valetta, Malta between the 25th and 28th November.

Athletes qualified for the national team by competing in the Cadet European Championships Selection Event in October.
